camps, disaster response, labour accommodation, festivals and large events —
where shelter has to go up fast, feel dignified to live in, and stay connected

## How Maawa OS works

1. **Every unit carries a QR code.** Maawa X ships with one bonded on; for
   existing tents or caravans you print labels and attach them.
2. **The first physical scan sets the unit's location** on the map. Location
   only ever changes on a real scan, so the map reflects the physical site.
3. **Occupants scan and ask for what they need** — water, food, medical, repairs,
   security — or raise an SOS. There is no app to install and no account to
   create; the code opens a web page.
4. **Staff resolve requests at the unit** using a personal code, with every
   action attributed and timestamped.
5. **Admins run the site from a dashboard**: live map, units, request queue, SOS
   board, occupancy records, and analytics.

## What makes it different

- **No app, no account for the people inside.** Scanning a code is the entire
  interface, which matters where phones, literacy, and data plans vary.
- **Event-sourced records.** Occupancy and unit history are append-only with time
  and location on every event, so the site's history stays true as units move.
- **Insights, not just charts.** The dashboard surfaces things a human would
  miss: units that have gone silent for days, open requests from households with
  children or elderly, repeat faults at the same unit, and requests running past
  their usual resolve time.
- **Arabic and English**, right-to-left throughout.
- **Modular.** Requests, SOS, and Info are switched on per organisation and per
  site; customers only see what they use.
