Amman, Jordan - Maawa, a startup by a Jordan entrepreneur, is proud to announce its partnership with Madfooatcom, the operator of eFawteercom, the national online payment system in Jordan. The partnership will see Madfooatcom sponsor the first order of many of Maawa's innovative "suitcase house", a solid-structure pop-up house that is smart, reusable, modular, and recyclable.
Maawa's pop-up houses are designed to solve the four main challenges faced by rapid housing: portability, protection, sustainability, and cost. The units are built as temporary or first-response shelters, making them perfect for emergency situations, refugee camps, and disaster relief efforts. The units are constructed to be eco-friendly, with features such as solar panels, connected, and weather protection, Maawa should help to reduce the environmental impact of the housing solutions.
The units are extremely lightweight and easy to assemble and disassemble, weighing only 13.7 kg, it can be assembled and disassembled in less than one minute with no need for tools. This makes them perfect for people who need to move frequently or for emergency situations where speed and efficiency are crucial.
The partnership with Madfooatcom will allow Maawa to expand its reach and impact, providing much-needed housing solutions for even more refugee families and individuals in need. The units will be deployed and distributed by the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to support refugees and empower those who are facing housing challenges, helping them with a dignified and secure living space.
